The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.

Applications are now open and will shut on 15 December 2024.

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the following requirements:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a house that has a combined gross house income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• People with disabilities qualify if their combined family income won't exceed R600 000 per annum.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
